Weekend

In a society marked by materialism and alienation, a young couple decides to embark on a surreal journey to spend a weekend in the countryside. What begins as an idyllic getaway soon transforms into an existential chaos when the protagonists find themselves caught in a torrent of absurd circumstances and strange encounters. Behind the wheel of their car, they face a desolate highway filled with conflicts, protests, and a series of eccentric characters that undermine each of their plans.

As the couple encounters an increasingly deranged world, the film unveils a biting critique of modern life and our disconnection from the true meaning of existence. They become embroiled in a series of situations that oscillate between the hilarious and the unsettling, from encounters with a group of French individuals debating morality to an accident that exposes the hypocrisy of human relationships.

With an innovative visual style and a bold use of color and editing, the director manages to create an experience that feels as dizzying as it is provocative. Featuring clever dialogues and a nonlinear narrative, the film invites the viewer to question their own reality on a journey that feels like a direct shot at social conventions. This production becomes a distorted mirror, reflecting the desires and frustrations of a generation lost in search of meaning and authenticity.
