In a sunny and carefree coastal city in New York, two young assistants at a company, Larry and Richard, are eager to enjoy a weekend of relaxation and fun. Everything seems to be going wonderfully until, unexpectedly, they discover that their boss, Bernie, has been murdered in his mansion, just before everyone heads there for a weekend party. Instead of reporting the crime, the boys decide it would be better to pretend that Bernie is still alive. The idea is that if the weekend goes on as planned, they can avoid any complications with the police.
So, in a risky and comedic twist of events, the two friends take Bernie out for a walk, bringing him to the beach, parties, and a myriad of hilarious situations. Despite his condition, the presence of the "boss" creates confusion and entanglements, not only with the guests of the luxurious mansion but also with a group of gangsters who are also after Bernie. With each scene, Larry and Richard must deal with the coordination issues of the lifeless body while maintaining the appearance that everything is under control. The movie is a riot of laughter, misunderstandings, and unexpected twists as these two friends try to survive a weekend that tests not only their ingenuity but also their friendship, becoming a classic comedy that no one can forget.
