On a dark morning in New York, veteran police officer Jack Mosley finds himself trapped in a life of monotonous routines and disillusionment. Just about to retire, his day takes an unexpected turn when he is assigned to escort a key witness, Eddie Bunker, from the precinct to the courthouse. The mission seems straightforward: cover a distance of just 16 blocks. However, what begins as an ordinary transfer quickly turns into a race for survival.
As Jack and Eddie make their way, they realize they have become targets of a conspiracy aimed at silencing the witness before he can testify. What should be a simple journey transforms into an odyssey filled with tension, chases, and betrayals. While Jack tries to do the right thing, he confronts his own demons: his history of addiction and the distrust he feels towards the system that is supposed to protect the innocent.
With the clock ticking and enemies closing in, Jack becomes not only Eddie's protector but also someone seeking redemption. The film delves into themes of integrity, sacrifice, and the internal struggle between duty and morality. In a city rife with corruption and ambiguity, Jack's true test will be deciding how far he is willing to go for justice, as his own values are challenged at every turn.
