In a Gotham City engulfed in chaos, society has lost faith in heroes as a new wave of criminals floods the streets. Thirty years after hanging up his cape, Bruce Wayne lives a solitary life, haunted by his memories and the void left by his alter ego. However, the emergence of a new and violent breed of criminal awakens the bat that lies within him. With his old Batman suit forgotten at the back of the closet, Bruce decides it’s time to return to action and restore order to the city.
As he resumes his role as a vigilante, things are not so simple. He faces fierce criticism from public opinion and authorities, who do not look kindly upon his comeback. The situation becomes even more complicated with the appearance of a new and lethal group of villains known as the Mutants, who threaten to ravage everything in their path.
