In this funny comedy of errors, we follow the misadventures of an unconventional private detective named T. H. "Lucky" McGowan. This young investigator, known for his unorthodox style and lack of seriousness, sees his life change when he gets involved in a scandalous theft case. The story kicks off when Lucky is hired by a beautiful Hollywood actress, who asks him to retrieve a valuable jewel that was stolen during the filming of her latest movie.

As Lucky delves into the world of cinema, he quickly realizes that it's not just a simple robbery; there are dark secrets and a backdrop of intrigue that threaten to ruin the actress's career and potentially spark a conflict within the film industry. With an eccentric cast of characters that includes a cynical producer and a dishonest leading man, Lucky finds himself caught up in a series of comedic and dangerous situations as he attempts to unravel the mystery behind the theft.

Amidst wild chases, encounters with movie stars, and a myriad of misunderstandings, the detective has to rely on his wits and a good dose of luck. The film plays with the idea of Hollywood glamour and the reality behind the scenes, offering laughs and surprises at every turn. With an unexpected ending, Lucky proves that, at the end of the day, cleverness and heart create the best stories.
