In a dystopian world of oppressive bureaucracy and overwhelming technology, a man named Sam Lowry feels trapped in his monotonous job as a civil servant in a government ministry. His life is a routine overwhelmed by paperwork and mediocrity, where dreams of a better future seem as distant as the stars. However, Sam has a rich inner life: in his dreams, he becomes a hero who flies to rescue a beautiful woman from the clutches of the system.

One day, everything changes when a series of bureaucratic misunderstandings embroil him in a plot that will lead him to meet Jill Layton, the mysterious woman from his dreams. Fascinated by her, Sam decides to risk everything to free Jill from the tyranny of the government, which has marked all citizens as mere numbers in an unforgiving system.

The film unfolds in a surreal landscape where the absurd and the grotesque intertwine, reflecting the hopelessness in the soul of a society repressed by control and surveillance. As Sam enters a labyrinth of conspiracies, he will confront a system that will stop at nothing to maintain its dominance. With an innovative visual style and a biting critique of modern life, this story invites reflection on freedom, love, and the individual's struggle against the machinery of a dehumanized world.
