Cyrano de Bergerac

In 17th-century Paris, an impressive poet and swordsman, known for his extraordinary wit, hides a secret that torments him: his enormous nose, which has caused him to doubt his personal attractiveness. Despite his bravery and talent, Cyrano lives in the shadow of his unrequited love for his beautiful cousin Roxane, who sees him more as a friend and mentor.

When Roxane falls in love with a young and handsome cadet, Christian, Cyrano’s life takes an unexpected turn. Aware that Christian lacks the eloquence and charisma needed to win Roxane’s heart, Cyrano decides to help him express his feelings. Through letters and whispered words, the poet uses his writing talent to transform Christian’s clumsy words into sweet and passionate verses that make Roxane fall madly in love with him.

However, the plot thickens as the conflict between sincerity and appearance becomes more evident. Cyrano struggles between his love for Roxane and his desire to keep his true role in this love story a secret, while war and confrontations with enemies threaten to separate them.

This cinematic adaptation highlights timeless themes such as identity, friendship, and the sacrifices one makes for love, offering a poignant portrayal of a man whose greatness is overshadowed by his insecurity, challenging the notion of what it truly means to be attractive.
