Deep End

In the bustling London of the 1970s, a seventeen-year-old boy named Mike, who works at a public swimming pool, finds himself caught between the routine of his life and a growing curiosity about the adult world. When a new lifeguard, Susan, steps onto the scene, his life takes an unexpected turn. Susan, with her uninhibited personality and hypnotic beauty, awakens in Mike a mix of fascination and sexual confusion.

As their relationship develops, Mike's innocence meets the emotional and sexual complexity of Susan. She is impulsive and often seems to play with his feelings, leading him into a dangerous game of desire and rejection. The plot delves into a journey filled with sexual tension, where Mike struggles to understand his emotions while Susan appears to navigate a world of freedoms that he has only just begun to explore.

The film explores themes of obsession, sexual awakening, and the loss of innocence, all wrapped in a distinctive visual style that captures the essence of the era. As the days pass and the dynamics between them intensify, Mike finds himself increasingly immersed in a spiral that pushes him to the edge. What begins as a simple youthful attraction soon transforms into a dark and emotional drama that will leave an indelible mark on his life.
