In this satirical comedy, a cunning con artist from Miami, Thomas "T.J." Smith, sees a golden opportunity when his political mentor, a congressman, suddenly passes away. Determined to change his life and escape his dark existence, T.J. decides to run for the same position. With no real knowledge of politics, he presents himself as a charismatic candidate with eye-catching promises, portraying himself as a sort of "man of the people." His cleverness and ability to manipulate situations capture the attention of voters, who are captivated by his charming personality and image of change.

However, what begins as a game becomes an unexpected journey when T.J. starts to take on the responsibilities of the office. As he delves into the political world, he begins to realize the complexities of the system and the corrupt influences operating behind the scenes. As he tries to navigate through empty promises and tough decisions, T.J. confronts moral dilemmas that make him question his true intentions, as well as start to develop a sense of responsibility towards his constituents.

Featuring a star-studded cast and a script full of comedic twists, the film is a reflection on American politics and how sometimes those who seem farthest from power can be the ones who truly change it, all wrapped in a fun and lighthearted tone.
