In a dark and melancholic Victorian London, the respected doctor Henry Jekyll leads a life dedicated to medicine and the pursuit of knowledge. But within him burns a struggle between good and evil. Jekyll begins to experiment with a potion that, according to him, can separate the two halves of human nature. Eager to unleash his most primitive instincts, he decides to test his invention on himself.
The transformation is shocking: from a gentle and educated man, he becomes Edward Hyde, a depraved and violent being who enjoys life without moral limitations. As Hyde takes control, he plunges into a whirlwind of crime and debauchery, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Meanwhile, Jekyll struggles to maintain control and prevent his dark alter ego from completely consuming his life.
The situation becomes increasingly desperate, as the two identities face off in an intense internal battle. Tension rises as Jekyll’s friends and colleagues begin to suspect that something strange is happening. In a tragic twist, Jekyll is forced to confront the consequences of his choices and the unsettling question of whether human nature is destined to be a constant struggle between light and darkness. The film explores the duality of human nature and the thin line that separates pleasure from disaster.
