In a high-tech laboratory, a brilliant scientist named André Delambre is working on an invention that could change the way humans interact with matter: a teleportation machine. However, an experiment goes horribly wrong when André decides to test it on himself. After being teleported, a small fly sneaks into the machine and, as a result, its DNA mixes with that of the insect, giving André a terrifying transformation. At first, it seems he has come out unscathed, but soon he begins to notice strange symptoms: his strength increases, his agility improves, and his sense of sight appears sharper. But these powers come at a high cost, as he also begins to lose his humanity.
As tension and despair grow, his wife, Helen, watches in horror as her beloved husband transforms into an increasingly grotesque creature. André, trapped between his brilliance and his monstrosity, struggles to find a cure while trying to prevent his transformation from consuming him completely. In his desperate quest to reverse the effects of his failed experiment, tragedy looms, and the true horror of his situation is revealed as he faces the dilemma of losing his humanity. The story explores the thin line between scientific ambition and the dangers of playing with nature, leading us to a climax that questions how far one would go for science and love.
