A group of individuals is summoned to a gothic mansion with a dark past to participate in an experiment on fear. The ambitious psychologist Dr. Eleanor Vance, eager to understand the nature of terror, is intrigued by the invitation, though she is also haunted by echoes of her own childhood. Alongside her are other characters: the skeptical and sardonic Luke Sanderson, the attractive yet enigmatic Theo, and the bewildering host of the mansion, Dr. David Marrow.
As the night progresses, the three guests begin to experience paranormal phenomena that defy any logical explanation. Doors closing on their own, whispers resonating in the darkness, and visual hallucinations test each person's sanity. Eleanor, driven by a desire to uncover the truth behind the shadows of the mansion, finds herself increasingly drawn to a dark tale of love and betrayal entwined with the fate of those who fell victim to the house.
The atmosphere grows more oppressive and dangerous, pushing the characters to the limits of their emotional and mental resilience. In a downward spiral into panic, they must confront their own inner demons and the revealing truth about the mansion. In the end, the line between reality and madness blurs, unleashing a terror that unearths secrets that should never have come to light.
