In a tranquil and picturesque English village called Sandford, life seems to be a haven of peace, but what no one imagines is that in this idyllic place, things are much darker than they appear. Nicholas Angel, a brilliant and dedicated police officer from London, is sent to the village by his superiors to reduce the crime rate, which has become “too high” for his talent. Accustomed to the frenetic pace of the city, Angel finds himself in an excessively complacent and dull environment, where crimes range from unruly senior citizens to silly pranks. However, the peaceful municipality is soon shaken by a series of mysterious deaths that appear to be accidents, but Nicholas's instinct tells him that there's more at stake.
With the help of his clumsy yet loyal partner, Danny, an action movie and violence enthusiast, Angel embarks on an investigation that will uncover secrets that no one, even the closest residents, could have imagined. The tone quickly shifts from comedy to an action-packed uprising, where the police officer must face a community that prefers to maintain appearances rather than reveal the truth. With unexpected twists, humor, and a plethora of film references, this story blends action with a critique of life in a village that, at its core, is not as perfect as it seems.
