The movie follows a newly married couple, Scott and Annie Russell, who decide to leave city life behind and move to a beautiful yet isolated house in Napa Valley. At first, everything seems perfect: the house has character, surrounded by vineyards and enviable landscapes. However, their dream turns into a nightmare when they discover that the seller, the enigmatic Charlie, has not been able to let go of the place he once considered home.
As Scott and Annie begin to make the house their own sanctuary, Charlie's presence becomes increasingly unsettling. This guy is an expert at creating a tense atmosphere, appearing at unexpected moments to remind them of his connection to the property. His intentions become increasingly suspicious, and the situation complicates when Scott tries to protect Annie from Charlie's growing obsession.
What starts as a simple disagreement with a former owner transforms into a psychological game of cat and mouse. Annie feels trapped between her love for the house and Charlie's strange behavior, while Scott begins to question his instincts. The atmosphere becomes oppressive and dangerous, testing the couple's relationship. Faced with the escalating threat, they must find a way to fight for what is theirs before everything comes crashing down.
