The story follows young Drew, an 8-year-old girl who finds herself caught in the tumultuous marital life of her parents, a pair of dreamers in the film industry. Ellen, an ambitious screenwriter, and Bob, an up-and-coming director, have struggled to balance their careers with raising Drew.
