In a humble neighborhood of a city in the 1920s, a five-year-old boy, orphaned and abandoned, is left to fend for himself by his mother, who cannot take care of him. However, fate has an unexpected connection in store for him. An iconic vagabond, who lives life on the edge and struggles against the adversities of the system, finds the little boy on the street and decides to take him along. Initially, their relationship is chaotic; the vagabond can barely care for himself, but he soon begins to develop a strong bond with the child.

As the days go by, the vagabond becomes a father figure for the boy, and together they form a curious but endearing duo. Life is not easy, but they manage to survive, bringing smiles and laughter amidst the misery. Every small triumph in their daily lives, from stealing a loaf of bread to making a group of strangers laugh, brings them closer together and sparks a flicker of hope in their hearts.

However, the happiness of the pair is threatened when the authorities intervene, trying to separate them and send the boy back to an orphanage. The story evolves into a heartwarming struggle for family and freedom, where love and loyalty challenge the social conventions of the time. In their journey, they will learn that although life is tough, the true treasure lies in the affection and connection they have created.
