In a small rural village in France, life unfolds quietly, marked by the seasons and the labors of the fields. However, social tensions and class struggles begin to emerge between the peasantry and the wealthier classes who control the land. The story centers on a family of farmers who, after the death of the patriarch, are forced to confront the imminent sale of their ancestral home. The mother desperately fights to keep her family united, while the children, torn between their attachment to the land and the need for a better future, start to question their place in the world.

Meanwhile, a group of workers secretly organizes, seeking justice and demands against the landowners who have exploited them for years. The growing social unrest galvanizes the characters, leading them to make difficult decisions that could change their destinies forever. The landscapes of the countryside, which once symbolized safety and tradition, become the backdrop for a conflict between the past and an uncertain future.

As the narrative unfolds, themes such as the struggle for dignity, love, and family loyalty are explored in a context where nature itself plays a crucial role. The film is a powerful meditation on land, work, and the resilience of those who refuse to surrender to adversity. With stunning cinematography and direction that captures the essence of an era, it becomes a poignant reflection of humanity’s struggles.
