A group of five travelers on a yacht finds themselves in a rough sea and, after a storm, are forced to disembark on a mysterious, uninhabited island. At first, it seems like an idyllic place, but they soon discover that the island has an unsettling aura and that the vegetation is dense and strange. While exploring, the castaways are shocked to find giant mushrooms growing on the island. Their curiosity leads them to try this peculiar fungus, with the promise that it could be a source of food in their desperate situation.
As time passes, the effects of the mushrooms begin to take their toll on the group. A subtle yet terrifying change overcomes them: every time they consume the fungus, their humanity fades away. The relationships between the travelers become strained, paranoia flourishes, and what started as an adventure turns into a struggle for survival. As the group members undergo increasingly grotesque transformations, the horror of losing their identity becomes the true enemy.
With a touch of science fiction and psychological horror, the film explores the fragility of the human mind and the desperation that arises in extreme situations. The claustrophobic atmosphere and the use of practical effects create an unsettling experience that leaves viewers questioning the nature of identity and what it means to be human.
