In the southern United States, during the warmth of the summer of 1905, a peculiar group of characters embarks on an adventure filled with laughter, mischief, and a nostalgic tone that evokes the simplicity of youth. The story follows a young boy named Lucas, who longs to escape the monotony of his rural life. It all begins when his charismatic grandfather, a lively and somewhat mischievous man, decides to take Lucas and his old friend Boon on a journey that promises fun, misadventure, and a few scares along the way.

The three become embroiled in a series of entanglements revolving around the theft of an automobile, an unimaginable dream for someone from their background. As they navigate the picturesque Southern landscape, they encounter a host of eccentric characters that add a touch of madness to their journey. The trip not only allows them to explore the outside world but also teaches them valuable lessons about life, trust, and personal growth.

With a bright and amusing tone, this story captures the essence of youth, reminding us that freedom often lies in the most unexpected moments. As the trio of adventurers navigate through life, they also learn something about love and relationships, leaving them with a profound impression that will change their lives forever. A gem of the era that combines comedy with reflections on freedom and the loss of innocence.
