A Princeton student, frustrated with his tuition debts, is drawn to the world of online poker. After losing a small fortune in a game, he feels cheated and decides to travel to Costa Rica to confront the head of the operation, a cunning businessman named Ivan Block. Upon arrival, he discovers that life in the betting center is much more appealing than he imagined, surrounded by luxury and dazzling parties.
Block recruits him as a partner, offering him the chance to win a ton of money through tricks and gaming tactics.
