In a luxurious skyscraper in New York, a group of building employees finds themselves trapped in a desperate situation after being swindled by a finance mogul who has made their pension fund disappear in a monumental scam. Ben Stiller plays Josh Kovacs, the building manager, who, upon discovering that his boss, the charismatic yet completely corrupt Arthur Shaw, has stolen the lifelong savings of his workers, decides it's time to take action.
With the help of a motley crew of colleagues, including the grumpy building superintendent (played by Eddie Murphy), an expert thief (Michael Peña), and a couple of inexperienced allies, Josh begins to devise a plan to recover the money. What follows is a farcical comedy filled with ridiculous situations and unexpected twists, as the team faces setbacks and challenges in the intricate web of crime.
However, as they get closer to their goal, obstacles multiply, and they must use their wits to outsmart the building's security and law enforcement. With the tension rising and the countdown underway, these misfits will come together to prove that, although they are not career criminals, the spirit of unity and determination cannot be underestimated. In the end, they will discover that justice can come in the most unexpected ways.
