A group of young people, intoxicated by the fame of the infamous horror movie, embarks on an expedition to explore the surroundings of Burkittsville, Maryland, where strange things are said to have happened to the protagonists of the original film. Motivated by a mix of curiosity and adrenaline, they hire a local guide and venture into the woods. However, as they delve deeper into the darkness, the line between reality and fiction begins to blur.
With the intention of making a documentary about the witch legend, the friends find themselves trapped in a spiral of paranoia and mind manipulation. Armed with recording gear, they start to experience inexplicable events that lead them to question their own sanity. With every twist and turn, the group fragments, caught in their own panic and an increasing sense that something malevolent is lurking nearby.
