A disquieting psychological odyssey begins when a saxophonist named Fred Madison wakes up in the middle of a nightmare. After receiving strange videotapes that show his life from an external perspective, he plunges into a whirlwind of confusion and paranoia. After discovering that his wife, Renee, has been murdered, Fred is accused of the crime. As his world crumbles, he finds himself trapped in a disturbing cycle of identity and fate.

Transitioning between prison and a parallel life, Fred metamorphoses into a young mechanic named Pete Dayton, who becomes romantically entangled with a mysterious woman, Alice. However, cruel fate shows no mercy, and the connection between both worlds becomes denser and more ominous, testing Fred's sanity. The shadows of an unsettling figure, a pale-faced man, seem to stalk his steps as the boundaries between reality and fantasy begin to blur.

Love, betrayal, and obsession intertwine in a complex narrative where nothing is as it seems. With a distinctive visual style, the story invites viewers to explore the duality of the human experience and the internal struggle between desire and guilt. Every scene is an enigma, each character a distorted reflection that pushes the limits of the mind, as the road becomes a symbol of an endless journey towards the truth.
