In this crazy sequel, we reunite with Billy and Kate, who have left behind the disastrous events of their childhood, enjoying a more or less normal life in the bustling city of New York. Billy works in a modern office tower that is a showcase of technology, while Kate has adapted to her new surroundings. But, as often happens, tranquility doesn’t last long.
Everything changes when the little Gizmo, the adorable and mischievous mogwai, ends up in the wrong hands. A crazy experiment by a scientist in the building unleashes chaos, as Gizmo, ignoring the basic mogwai rules, transforms into a new batch of gremlins, cheekier and more varied than ever. These mischievous creatures have no limits, and soon take over the tower with an arsenal of craziness: one turns into a sort of angel of death, while another dares to speak with a New York accent and boasts of being a genius.
As the gremlins wreak havoc in the city, Billy, Kate, and a series of eccentric characters must come together to regain control. With hilarious scenes, pop culture references, and a carefree tone, the movie is a perfect blend of comedy and horror. In the end, the real challenge isn’t just dealing with the gremlins, but also remembering that sometimes, the things we want to avoid find us again.
