In the bustling New York of the 1930s, a gangster fresh out of the business wants to leave his criminal life behind and focus on what truly matters: his family. Groucho, the protagonist, is determined to prove to his fiancée and his strict father that he can be a good man. However, what should be a quiet engagement ceremony turns into a whirlwind of chaos and misunderstandings.

As the day unfolds, a series of misunderstandings, eccentric characters, and countless ridiculous situations collide in his path. Several of his former crime associates show up to ruin his plans, including the unexpected arrival of a dangerous rival looking to settle scores. To make matters worse, Groucho tries to hide his past from his future wife, but the lies and half-truths begin to unravel.

With a frantic pace and a colorful cast that includes an iconic comedian, every twist of the plot has us laughing out loud and applauding the protagonist's skill. Set against a backdrop reminiscent of classic comedies from Hollywood's golden age, the film plays with the concept of identity and change as Groucho attempts to become the man his family deserves, discovering along the way that sometimes, leaving the past behind is not as easy as it seems. Hilarity and recklessness are the soul of this story, capturing the eternal dilemma between family duty and self-loyalty.
