In the bright and dark streets of Los Angeles, a talented getaway driver lives between two worlds: the frantic nocturnal chases and his peaceful job as a mechanic. This silent protagonist, simply known as "The Kid" (played by Ryan Gosling), leads a quiet life, but everything changes when he falls in love with his neighbor, Irene. Irene, portrayed by Carey Mulligan, finds her life complicated when she becomes involved with a recently released criminal who carries dangerous baggage from the past.

When "The Kid" decides to help Irene and her son out of a delicate situation, he gets drawn into a violent world of crime and betrayal. What should have been a simple job of a few minutes turns into an absolute disaster, leaving him trapped in a conflict with ruthless criminals. Forced to navigate a maze of deception and violence, "The Kid" must use all his skills behind the wheel to protect those he loves.

With a retro aesthetic reminiscent of 80s thrillers and a hypnotic soundtrack, this story is an intense and stylized journey that blends love, despair, and the struggle for redemption. As tension mounts and enemies multiply, the film explores the thin line between good and evil, leading "The Kid" to a final confrontation that will change him forever.
