Teddy Bear

In early 1980s Poland, a group of idealists and dreamers embarks on a surreal and comedic journey. The story revolves around a kind of 'scam' orchestrated by a theater director who attempts to secure funding for his dubious film about a famous circus bear. However, the plot goes far beyond mere fundraising; it evolves into a voyage filled with absurd encounters and implausible situations.

The characters are a melting pot of archetypes from the era, ranging from bureaucratic officials to artists in search of their big break. Each one contributes their own brand of madness to the tale, and what should be a straightforward process turns into an odyssey packed with entanglements and unexpected twists. As the director tries to navigate the bureaucracy and skepticism of those around him, the film becomes a biting critique of Polish society under the communist regime, as well as the inefficiency of the system.

Through hilarious situations and witty dialogue, the film strikes a perfect balance between comedy and social commentary. What begins as a simple attempt to make a movie transforms into a reflection on creative freedom and the limitations imposed by society, leaving the viewer with a smile and a thoughtful look at life in their surroundings.
